These are two great videos from The City of London Police Cyber Griffin Team talking about 2FA and the need to secure your router. They were developed in March 2020 as many countries were entering into ‘lockdown’ in response to COVID 19 and needing to work from home. They are UK focussed but the information and guidance remains applicable at all times where-ever you are based in the world. Do also consider watching the other guides in the series.

This FBI advisory released Sept 2020 explains the process of credential stuffing and recommends the use of strong unique passwords, changing passwords/login details if accounts are breached and implementation of 2FA amongst other mitigation strategies.

Interestingly research conducted by Carnegie Mellon University in June found that, of those surveyed, only about 30% changed their passwords after being notified of a breach.
