Staff are often seen as our best line of defense, but they can also unintentionally provide the route into the organisation’s network by acting on a phishing email or visiting a malicious website - both with devastating consequence. The NCSC has produced free online ‘top tips for staff’ awareness training to introduce the importance of cyber security, how attacks happen, and then covers four key areas:
- defending yourself against phishing
- using strong passwords
- securing your devices
- reporting incidents (‘if in doubt, call it out’)
Developed with small businesses, charities and the voluntary sector in mind it is applicable to any size organisation and takes less than 30 minutes to complete. NCSC's new cyber security training for staff now available and includes a great downloadable infographic!
